The purpose: understanding the correlation between the roots of the equation (zero points).

Let's go back the first example  y= x2-3x-10

Is it possible to find additional points which have two origins except in case of 0 as the image-

Let's choose any x- remember  f:R®  R

Substitute   x= 2:

y= 22-3*2-10

y= 4-6-10

 y=-12

If there is an additional x with an identical image it will hold the equation:

x2-3x-10= -12

and this according to the definition of the function.

x2-3x-10+12=0

x2-3x+2=0

x1=2

x2=1

In order to get additional pairs with an identical image, record in the window the value of x1 and press enter to get the value of x2

Note the values x1 , x2 each time-
