Aim of the lesson :
- to define the square function
- to know its characteristics
Process
the square function is presented as following:
y=ax 2 +bx+c (a¹0)
The limits of the domain function is a group of real numbers.
We will start by finding the roots of the function (zero points).
The aim of this lesson is to know the characteristics of the square function.
For that purpose we will choose a numerical example.
y = x2-3x-10
We will find the roots of the function (zero points) by using the Viata Method.
Let's remember: the roots of the function (zero points) are values of x whose image is zero i-e y=0.
y= x2-x-6
y= x2 +2x-35
y=- x2 -4x +21
y= 2x2 -x-6
y= -4x2 -4x +15
